Can you read this while jumping on one leg?

Reflect on this question for a moment: Do constraints give us freedom?

When it comes to creative thinking and action...YES! Hear me out.

A lot of my clients highly value freedom.

They have built up walls of limitations over their lifetime. These walls trap them. Like any trapped creature, being free is the ultimate treasure. They grasp for that freedom wherever and however they can.

I think it's safe to say we ALL have. :)

Maybe these sound familiar:

  • It's too late

  • I'm not experienced enough

  • I don't have the time

  • What will they think if I...

  • I've never been able to

  • I couldn't because...

  • And the super mega big boss of them all: I should / I shouldn't

Woah...it was scary just to type that out.

When we have freedom over our next steps, everything is possible... AND That can be so overwhelming. Terrifying even!

When my freedom-seeking clients freeze in the face of too many options, we work together to throw up some temporary walls.

We do this with activities like: ✍️ Write with a limit of 50 words or 30 seconds 🤪 Come up with the worst ideas (this is so fun) 🔧 Solve it using only items smaller than their hand or that start with the letter "B"

This results in: 💥 Their creativity explodes in ways they hadn't expected. 🤩 Their excitement erupts and they laugh.

Sometimes, limitations can be the spark that ignites your most awesome ideas.

Enjoy those temporary walls and be sure to keep your sledgehammer nearby!
